We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth for our Recon traffic surveillance and analytics platform in the North India region. This role will focus on building strategic relationships with system integrators, government agencies, and key stakeholders within the transportation infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B/B2G technical solution sales, particularly within smart city, surveillance, or infrastructure technology domains.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet revenue targets for Recon’s traffic surveillance and analytics solutions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with system integrators involved in government tenders (NHAI, state highway authorities, municipal corporations).
Identify and qualify new opportunities across highway and urban traffic management segments in North India.
Stay updated on upcoming infrastructure projects and government tenders to position Recon early in the procurement lifecycle.
Create compelling value propositions tailored to deployment scenarios such as national highways, urban intersections, and commercial zones.
Sales Process Management
Prepare and present comprehensive technical and commercial proposals aligned with client needs.
Negotiate contracts and successfully close deals with system integrators and direct customers.
Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to craft customized solution architectures.
Maintain up-to-date sales forecasts and pipelines using the CRM system.
Achieve defined quarterly and annual sales targets for the North India territory.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Track regional and national developments in highway infrastructure, urban mobility, and smart cities.
Monitor competitor activity and stay informed of evolving market dynamics.
Provide market insights to the product team for roadmap planning and feature enhancements.
Develop territory-specific go-to-market strategies to capitalize on regional opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts in the region.
Conduct regular business reviews to maintain customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities.
Coordinate with deployment and support teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers at government bodies, transport departments, and system integrators.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field (MBA preferred).
7–10 years of B2B/B2G sales experience, with at least 3 years in government/infrastructure technology solutions.
Demonstrated success in selling complex technical solutions to system integrators or public-sector clients.
Experience with surveillance systems, traffic management, IoT, or smart city technologies.
Understanding of government procurement processes, including tendering and vendor registration.
Familiarity with the North Indian transportation infrastructure ecosystem is essential.
Experience managing channel partnerships and integrator relationships.
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical aptitude to communicate Recon's strengths in traffic monitoring, analytics, and enforcement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Consultative selling approach with the ability to craft tailored solutions based on client pain points.
Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness to structure effective deals.
Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Effective project management skills for handling long sales cycles with multiple touchpoints.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region (approx. 50-60% travel expected).
